How I Save on Hotels (and Get Free Nights) with Marriott Bonvoy

Traveling is amazing, but hotels can quickly become one of the biggest expenses on a trip. That’s why I use Marriott Bonvoy, the loyalty program for Marriott hotels worldwide, to make every stay more rewarding — and often more affordable.

What is Marriott Bonvoy?

Marriott Bonvoy is the rewards program for over 8,000 hotels across 30+ brands, including Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, and more. When you book stays, you earn points that you can redeem for:

  • Free hotel nights anywhere in the Marriott network
  • Room upgrades and special perks at select properties
  • Experiences like concerts, dining, or exclusive events
  • Travel packages including flights + hotel combos

Even if you travel only a few times a year, your points can add up fast, especially when you take advantage of promotions, partner offers, or credit card bonuses.

Why I Use It

  • Flexibility: Points can be used at thousands of properties worldwide — from budget-friendly hotels to luxury resorts.
  • Extra perks: Elite status members get free Wi-Fi, late checkout, and bonus points on every stay.
  • Partner benefits: Earn points through car rentals, flights, and other partners, not just hotel stays.
  • Savings: Redeeming points can save hundreds of dollars per trip, especially during peak travel times.

Hotel Review: Mint Hotel At The Grand

Denver, Colorado, Hotel Reviews, Mint Hotel at The Grand, Out and About with Tina, plus size model, solo traveling, Travel

I stayed at Mint Hotel for a staycation in Denver. This hotel was unique because it was actually also a luxury downtown Denver apartment building . Mint Hotel used beautifully furnished apartments as hotel rooms. Apartments were available to rent on the other side of the building as hotel rooms. Apartments were available to rent on the other side of the building

I had the pleasure of staying in a two bedroom hotel suite. I loved how spacious the suite was and how it had all the modern conveniences of a home including a full kitchen, dishes pots pans, wash and dryer machine in unit. The close proximity to Denver restaurants and local grocery stores were a nice bonus. The view overlooking Denver was phenomenal. I liked that the hotel is dog friendly as well!
